i command
.mdThe i command places the Editor into insert mode to enter one or more lines. Pressing Enter at the first position of a line while in insert mode returns control to command mode.
Syntax
i{string}
Important: There must be a space between the i command, to
insert a null line, and the text being inserted. Without the space, it will not work.
Parameter(s)
| string | Text to be inserted in the attribute. |

Inserting a single line:
i string

Inserting a null line:

Inserting multiple lines with each text string (new line) delimited with an
attribute mark (control shift ^):
