# .em command

The .em command inserts spaces in output
text and is dependent on the printer type.

## Syntax

```
.em number.spaces
```

## Parameter(s)

| number.spaces | Specifies the number of spaces to be inserted. A spacial insertion parameter, which has set possible values (for example, 0,1, 2 and so on). This is used for exact spatial alignment on laser printers. |
