# _CP_echo

_CP_echo is equivalent to the `echo *expression*` BASIC statement.

## Syntax

```
int _CP_echo(int expression)
```

## Description

This function returns -1 if
an error occurs. The error code is contained in _CP_errno.

Note: The echo setting will *not* affect scanf or other UNIX input routines.

## Example(s)

```
/* Gets input without echoing it. */

CPSTR * s = _CP_str_null;

_CP_echo(0);
_CP_input(_CP_INPUT,&s,0,0);
```
