# _CP_clearselect

_CP_clearselect is equivalent to the clearselect BASIC statement.

## Syntax

```
int _CP_clearselect(int expression)
```

## Description

The expression should be an
integer file descriptor returned by the _CP_select call. This function returns -1 if an error occurs. The error code
is contained in _CP_errno. This function should
always be used when only part of a select list is referenced.
